Gugulethu Sophia Mbatha also known as Gugu Mbatha-Raw, is a popular British film and stage actress that gained fame because she was a part of the 'Doctor Who' (a British science-fiction TV show) show that aired on the BBC channel. Gugu earned a significant amount of fame by appearing as Tish Jones, the sister of a major character called Martha Jones, in the series. Gugu was a lively, spontaneous personality that was loved by the public. Gugu would be able to have an extremely successful career as an actor if she didn't quit! She has worked on several British television and stage series. Her work has garnered critical acclaim for her performances in the British period dramas like 'Belle' (2013) and Beyond the Lights' (2014). Also, she appeared in American television productions like "Undercover" an Tom Hanks comedic movie, and the TV show "Touch". Gugu Mbatha Raw starred in the play "Nell Gwynn" by Jessica Swale as an actress who was also the king's mistress. Charles II. Chelsea Joy Handler was conceived on the 25th of February, 1975 at Livingston New Jersey. She was one of the six smallest children. Her mother was a homemaker and her father was employed as a used car dealer. Her mother came to America in 1958 in the form of an immigrant from Germany. Handler was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1989 and passed away after fighting cancer for 10 years. Her father was Jewish, and she was raised in Reform Judaism. Handler grew up in a safe area and enjoyed a pleasant childhood. Her move to Los Angeles when she was aged 19 to pursue acting. Handler was forced to become an actress to make ends meet. Handler made the decision to focus on stand-up comedy when she was 21, following the realization of her story telling abilities. Handler's first job was as an actress on the cast that included all females for the Oxygen channel's reality television show Girls behaving badly. The show was an amalgamation of cameras hidden in the background and humorous comedy. It ran between 2002 and 2005. Handler then started appearing on other TV shows such as Weekends at the D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler began her professional career as a reporter on The Tonight Show. Handler had her biggest break in 2006, when she became the host of E! It was called The Chelsea Handler Series. The show ran for a total of two seasons. Handler was then seen in the United States in the Comedy Central Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend (and HBO) have been able to broadcast live stand-up shows. In 2010 the MTV Video Music Awards 2010 were announced. This made her the second woman in the history of television, after Roseanne Barr, to host VMAs.
